Bizzell Reserves call number: PN 6790 .I443 A437 v.766

Summary: The story begins with a curse and a blessing from the sage Durvasa whom the young Yadava princess Bhanumati has offended by accident. To avenge the death of his brother Vajranabha (see Prahabhavati), the asura Nikumbha kidnaps Bhanumati. Krishna, who is Bhanumati's grandfather, together with his friend Arjuna and his son Pradyumna ride on Garuda in pursuit, and a supernatural confrontation follows. [This is the Bhanumati who goes on to marry Sahadeva, one of the Pandava brothers; she is not the Bhanumati who becomes the bride of Duryodhana.] You can read more about Krishna, Arjuna, and Pradyumna at Wikipedia.
