About Amar Chitra Katha

The Hindi words "Amar Chitra Katha" (अमर चित्र कथा) mean "Immortal Captivating/Picture Stories."
ACK was started in 1967 by Anant Pai, often known as "Uncle Pai." Pai died in 2011 at the age of 81, and Google honored him with a Google Doodle that year:
